🐾 The year of the pandemic has been a huge shock to the world. But for pets, it may have been the best time: the whole family was together, and owners devoted more time and attention to their animals. 2020 forced many industries to change, and some of the changes have not gone away.
For example, traveling within commuting distance has become a norm for many people. Of course, pets have been able to travel with their owners more often.
“During the pandemic, we saw a lot more people traveling with their pets,” says Tarundeep Singh, Senior Product Manager at Booking.com. “With more people driving to their destination, it’s easy for them to bring their pets along for the ride.”
For the travel industry, people traveling with pets represent a big market opportunity. According to Booking.com 2023, more than eight million users searched for hotels with the “pets allowed” filter. In this article, we have compiled a selection of the best pet-friendly hotels.
